Bidding Opportunities


Sealed bids will be received by the City of Oil City until June 29, 2018 at 1:00 P.M. local time for the demolition, clearance, and site restoration of four (4) structures located throughout the City of Oil City.

Contract Documents may be obtained at the Office of Code Administration, 21 Seneca Street, Oil City, PA 16301, for a nonrefundable fee of $20.00 per set.

A certified check, bank cashier’s check, or bid bond in an amount equal to ten (10) percent of the bid, payable to the City of Oil City, shall be submitted with the bid to guarantee the bidder’s entrance into a contract if given the award. Surety companies executing the Bid Bond must be listed in the U.S. Treasury Department Circular 570, as currently amended, and be authorized to transact business in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.

This project is funded by Community Development Block Grant funds. All relevant federal requirements including non-discrimination in hiring, MBE/WBE and Section 3 participation are detailed in the contract documents. Bidders must submit a non-collusion affidavit with their bids and provide evidence of MBE/WBE firms who have been contacted and to whom commitments have been made.

Minority/women business will be awarded full opportunity to submit bids in response to this notice and no bidder will be subjected to discrimination in consideration for an award.
