The City of Oil City will receive sealed bids for Sidewalk Reconstruction at the City Manager's Office, 21 Seneca St, Oil City, PA 16301 until 1:00 PM on Friday, July 8, 2022, at which time the bids will be opened. Proposed work includes the reconstruction of concrete sidewalks, curbs, ADA ramps, and related work such as concrete removal, traffic control, seeding, etc. The project will further include the coordinated removal and replacement of the street light poles surrounding Town Square. Contract Documents may be obtained at the City Community Development Office, 21 Seneca Street Oil City, PA 16301 for a nonrefundable fee of $15.00/set.
A certified check, bank cashier's check, or bid bond in an amount equal to 10% of the bid, payable to the City of Oil City, shall be submitted with the bid. A non-collusion affidavit is necessary. After contract award, 100% performance and payment bonds will be required. This project is funded through a Federal Community Development Block Grant (CDBG). Relevant Federal Regulations including prevailing wage rates, labor standards, nondiscrimination in hiring, and MBE/WBE/Section 3 participation apply as outlined in the contract documents.
The City of Oil City reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to award the bid as is most advantageous to the city. No bidder will be subjected to discrimination in consideration for an award. Bids may be held for a period not to exceed 30 days from the date of bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and bidders.
