Oil Valley Center for the Arts Classes

The Oil Valley Center for the Arts is currently being re-vamped.

The facility is located in the historic National Transit Building Annex at 206 Seneca St. in Oil City. The classes draw students primarily from Northwestern Pennsylvania as well as other parts of PA. Students from other states and countries have attended OVCA classes. The classes are presented by an outstanding group of local and regional artists. Classes are small, allowing for individual attention for each student. The artists conduct hands-on workshops showcasing their talents and assisting students to develop theirs. Most classes are for adults but several artists will provide sessions for kids during the year.

Individual and small group pottery and ceramics classes are held in the newly developed pottery studio in the basement of the National Transit Annex. Equipped by an anonymous donor with kickwheels, electric wheels, and kilns, the Oil Creek Earthworks has been developed by Angela Bowersox Wyant with a grant from the Justus Trust. Oil Creek Earthworks is open by appointment and will hold weekly open studio times and class times for adults and children. For more information, contact earthworksstudio@gmail.com.
