Q. Water/Garbage/Recycling Information
A. Questions regarding billing, signing up for service,
obtaining a recycling can and items which the garbage
company will pick up can be directed to the Utility
Office at 814 678-3002.
Q. Who do I call for removal of my raked leaves, bagged leaves
or tree limbs?
A. Contact Public Works at 814 678-3022.
Q. Who can I call about snow removal on my street?
A. The Public Works Office at 814 678-3022 will have the
snow removal information.
Q. Who is responsible for taking care of sidewalks?
A. Sidewalks are the responsibility of the property owner.
Q. How can I use City-owned property for an event?
A. Write a letter addressed to City Council asking for
their permission, stating the purpose, date, time, etc.
A certificate of insurance will be required covering the
event. City Council will have to formally approve the
request at a council meeting.
Q. When are City Council meetings held?
A. Typically the second and fourth Thursdays of each month
at 4:30 p.m. in Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, City Hall. All
meetings are open to the public. Changes in schedule are
advertised in The Derrick newspaper.
Q. Does the City survey properties?
A. No. A surveyor will do the work. Listings are in the
phone directory's yellow pages.
