The City of Oil City will hold a second public hearing pertaining to its 2024 application for $308,436 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. Tentative projects selected include: Street Reconstruction of Clearfield St. from Cooper Ave. to Gay St ($113,488); Petroleum St. from W. First St. to W. Fourth St. ($84,485); Hasson Ave. from Park Rd. to Deer St. ($31,500); Mint Alley from Park Rd. to Hasson Ave. ($8,850); Division St. from W. Seventh St. to W. Eighth St. ($16,013); and Program Administration ($54,100). From the total 2024 funding allocation, $254,336 is proposed to be used toward low to moderate income persons. No persons will be displaced as a result of these proposed activities. The public hearing will take place at 4:00 pm on Thursday, August 22, 2024 in Council Chambers, City Hall, 21 Seneca Street, Oil City, PA. This facility is ADA accessible. The 2024 CDBG pre-application information can be viewed and public comment made until August 22, 2024 by contacting the Community Development office or emailing the Director at kamos@oilcity.org. If no adverse comments are received by 4:00 pm on August 22, 2024, Oil City Council will adopt the final resolution to submit the 2024 CDBG application at their regularly scheduled meeting.
