The City of Oil City will hold a second public hearing pertaining to its 2025 application for $308,819 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. The tentative project selected is: Street Reconstruction of Cedar Ave. from Deer St. to Clark Alley ($282,883); and Program Administration ($25,936). From the total 2025 funding allocation, $282,883 is proposed to be used toward low to moderate income persons. No persons will be displaced as a result of this proposed activity. The public hearing will take place at 4:00 pm on Monday, August 25, 2025 in Council Chambers, City Hall, 21 Seneca Street, Oil City, PA. This facility is ADA accessible. If no adverse comments are received, Oil City Council will adopt the final resolution to submit the 2025 CDBG application at their September 8, 2025 meeting. Applications are due to the Department of Community and Economic Development by October 31, 2025.
